The Gitane D-500 Maccaferri-Style Jazz Guitar has a sound you have to hear to believe. All measurements and construction features were taken directly from a rare, original 1932 Selmer-Maccaferri guitar to create the most affordable, high-quality reproduction ever offered. The Gitane D-500 features a top of select solid spruce with rosewood back and sides and a thin, comfortable, bound mahogany neck with a 24-fret extension fingerboard of rosewood with pearl-dot position markers.The large D-shaped soundhole has concentric rings of multicolored wood purfling. The body is bound with solid ebony for durability and beauty with maplewalnutmaple purfling on all edges. The traditional Moustache bridge, also ebony, has a removable center section that is slotted for perfect intonation. Includes Gitane hardshell case.
